SENIOR INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE – REAL ESTATE
SUMMARY OF BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY
Primary responsibility is to plan and conduct complex underwriting analysis, investment/risk analysis, due diligence and project management for the Institute’s direct real estate investments. Position will be responsible for working closely with senior investment staff in all phases of the real estate investment process, including underwriting and negotiating support of new investment opportunities, leasing, financings, property dispositions, project management and portfolio management.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Overall supervision is under the direction of the Associate Director of Real Estate – Business Development who will define the broad areas for which general analytical support is necessary. Individual expected to be able to work independently.
CONTACTS REQURED
Position will be responsible for maintaining on-going communication with existing and potential leasing brokers, development managers, asset managers and investment managers, to gather information and to establish procedures for monitoring transactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
A MBA or other advances degree in finance, real estate or related discipline with four to seven years of professional experience, preferably within the real estate industry is preferred.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are essential. Superior oral and written skills are required.
The candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize, function autonomously, and meet deadlines in a fast paced challenging environment.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and database applciations is highly desireable.
